City Help Center Food Bank

What We Do!

Weekly Food Distributions

The Short Creek Dream Center operates the City Help Food Bank which helps provide critical food resources to over 1500 people in the Short Creek area. This includes up to 100,000 pounds of food monthly. On a weekly basis, we distribute Emergency Food Boxes, boxes to Seniors, Backpacks with meals for school-aged children, and produce for making healthy meals. We also provide a food delivery service to meet the needs of the elderly and those with chronic health conditions that prevent them from travelling.

Since the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak, our drive-through food bank distributions have provided over 3.5 million pounds of food to our community!

SNACC Program

This past year, the City Help Center Food Bank has partnered with Creek Valley Health Clinic and University of Southern Utah to host the monthly SNACC Program (Strengthening Nutrition and Activities in our Connected Community). These are FREE nutrition classes to members of the community who suffer from chronic illnesses that can be addressed through healthy eating! Everyone who attends will receive a reusable bag of food, along with healthy recipes featuring items from the food bank.
