Every day, 5 to 8 girls and young women are recovered out of forced polygamy…right here in the United States!
Sadly…MANY are children who were forced into “arranged” marriages against their will and they want to be free.

Hey there my name is Brielle Decker and while you may not have heard of my name, I’m sure you’ve heard of my story.
I was a bride of Warren Jeffs in fact I was his 65th bride.
After Warren was arrested and taken to prison I was given one of the houses where he kept all of us wives. The word house really isn’t the right word more like a mansion. It’s a 44-bedroom building in a town that used to be run entirely by Warren Jeffs.
I had no idea honestly what to do with this house. My first thought was to burn it to the ground and with it all the terrible memories that I had of my time being his wife.
But something rose up in me, and I thought if I’m able to restore my life and dream again why can’t I make a place that will help do this for other women like me?
You see, ever since Warren was arrested women who are finding themselves forced into this life are breaking out regularly. Only one problem with that, they literally had nowhere to go.
The woman who flees polygamy is completely shunned by the only community and family that she ever knew. And honestly, we were all taught growing up that strangers were terrible horrible people never to trust them.
So none of us had anybody on the outside.
Many of the women that I know didn’t have much more than a sixth-grade education let alone nursing certifications or High School degrees or college degrees or anything like that. So it’s literally starting from scratch very often we don’t have the documents either.
So here I was with rights to this huge house but I had no idea what to do.
I had heard of this place called the Dream Center where they help people rebuild their lives and dream again. I reached out to them and we started a partnership where the Dream Center ran the program and fixed up the building and I helped raise awareness.
I’ve now found in working with hundreds of girls and young women who are fleeing situations like this that the number one thing they need is someone to walk alongside them.
So even though I escaped several years ago, we still see the signs of polygamy everywhere.
In fact, several more teen girl victims were recovered by the FBI just days ago.
Thankfully girls are speaking out like in the recent Netflix Series, “Keep Sweet”.
And, thankfully, the FBI and other dedicated law enforcement are recovering these girls.
But nobody every talks about what happens next?
How on earth do these girls and young women, who have largely never been exposed to the “real world” ever get better?
Many of them are forced out of school at ages as young as 11 or 12 so that they can prepare to be a “good wife” to some guy in his 50s who already has 2 or three other wives.
So, how do they recover in the “real world”?
Do they go home?
Do they go to a hospital?
Do they pick right back up where they left off in school…?
Frankly, we don’t talk about it much because it’s not a pretty story.
Some of the stories about what these girls go through AFTER being trafficked are almost as painful as talking about the abuse.
In the picture-perfect Hollywood story, the girl gets rescued, then goes home to a warm, welcoming family instantly healed of the trauma and abuse and they live happily ever after.
That story sells tickets and makes us feel better about a horrible truth in our world.
But the truth is often gut-wrenching, ugly, painful, messy, and hard to look at.
The truth is, girls and young women who’ve been trafficked usually need months and sometimes YEARS of intensive help before they ever get “better”.
Here is a photo of the house that I’ve now turned in to a Dream Center.
We have served hundreds of young women in this place.
Here are just a few of the things these girls and women have shared with us after serving hundreds of them…
So, no, they don’t just go home and start back in school where they left off…
Every day, we see the “rest of the story” and the HUGE need these girls have.
And what is their greatest need?
The greatest need these girls have is for people to come alongside them and help them as they heal.
Some people teach classes or mentor the girls. But not everyone has the time to truly commit to sticking with these girls while they heal. It’s a process…for sure.
Many people have decided to try sponsoring a girl as she heals. It’s something that most people can do and it truly does help these girls and young women get the thing they need most – HEALING.
Effective sponsorships start at as little as $10 per month.
What good does $10 per month do?
A lot.
That $10 may be the first healthy, nourishing, and loving meal that the girl has had in months…or years.
That $10 may be the co-pay for the first medical appointment she has had in a long time. Or it may take care of the medicine she needs for her first prescription to heal something she has going on physically or mentally.
That $10 may cover the gas and transportation costs for a young woman as she is transported from the police department to the Dream Center where she will start the healing process.
That $10 may buy her a comfy shirt or PJ’s…or maybe when she’s out shopping with our staff she’ll see a stuffed animal she falls in love with and wants to take back to her room.
So, what does a $10 sponsorship do? It immediately starts the healing process.
And, that $10, when added to the hundreds of other people also giving $10 per month, becomes an unstoppable flow that heals the hundreds of girls and young women we serve every year.
And, if $10 can do THAT, imagine what $100 can do!
Bottom line – monthly sponsorships make a difference. So, why not try sponsoring a girl after she has been recovered out of human trafficking?
What better gift than to walk alongside a girl who is recovering from the horrible abuse of human trafficking.
Any amount is appreciated and every amount goes 100% directly to help the girls heal. All of our overhead costs are covered by a private foundation grant.
Try a monthly sponsorship to help girls heal who have been trafficked by their families heal today!
Important Privacy Note – When you sponsor a girl or young woman, you will receive details about the journey that a girl takes when she comes through our human trafficking healing program. We ask that you never share the details that you are sent. Most of the girls we serve have an open FBI, Homeland Security or police investigation against their traffickers, so no one’s personal identity can ever be compromised including real names, pictures, or details that would affect their police case. We have also taken great measures to conceal the identity of any girl you are sponsoring. Any stories or details we share are based on true stories and actual events as they are related to us by the girls who have shared them with us. But any details that may jeopardize a girl’s safety will be altered or not shared in order to protect the girl. Optionally, you can also sign up for mentor training to mentor a girl after she has completed the healing program. You would then meet her as you joined her mentor team. Mentoring is not required for monthly sponsorships.
What girl’s who have been sponsored are saying…
“When I was 16 my parents set me up in an “arranged” marriage. I met the man on our wedding day. He raped me that night, I had been forced to marry my rapist. After years of abuse, I finally learned about the Dream Center and a friend got me in touch with them. They came and got me and my daughter. I believe they saved our lives.”
“Johanna”
“The Dream Center helped me escape from my uncle who was selling me to his friends for sex. I was only 13 when they helped. me. They got me out of the situation I was in and helped me to find good people to talk to about what happened to me.”
“Jeraldina”
“I was so messed up after my grandpa got me hooked on drugs as a teenager. He used to do terrible things to me when I was passed out from the drugs. The police took me to the Dream Center. It was nice to be safe and have people around me who loved me.”
